Couple Suspected of Michigan Murder Spree Face New Charges

By  |

More charges for the young couple accused in a deadly nine-day crime spree.

The new charges against Patrick Selepak and Samantha Bachynski come on the same day as their scheduled preliminary examinations. Those hearings, though, have been postponed until April sixth so the defense can review the evidence.

Selepak and Bachynski face premeditated murder, home invasion and other charges in the deaths of Melissa and Scott Berels of New Baltimore.

Macomb County prosecutors added charges of assaulting a pregnant woman, kidnapping and identity theft. And Selepak was hit with a firearms charge.
