Band director, Carl Popowski says the concert was routine, and routine can sometimes help you deal with tragedy.

That was the logic behind the decision to go ahead with a scheduled Ovid-Elsie band concert after clarinet player Jessica Lindauer, her brother Steven and their parents are believed to have been killed in a house fire.

Principal Kirk Baese says they are a small school. And when tragedy visits a small school, they tend to come together like a small family.

Official identifications of the dead are still pending autopsy results, but investigators say the only four people who lived at the home were the Lindauers.
