Police say they found the murdered body of 10-year-old Carlie McFarland at her home shortly after midnight on Wednesday.
Investigators say her baby sitter, 18-year-old, Chris Seffernick may have committed the crime. They found his body hanging from a tree in the woods behind McFarland's home.
Friends of the victims say Seffernick and McFarland's mother worked together at the McDonald's up the street. They say Seffernick lived with McFarland, her 12-year-old sister, and their single mother for a couple months in exchange for babysitting the children.
Police say Seffernick was on probation for auto theft.
