A Detroit man was found fatally wounded in his rural Clinton County home early Wednesday morning.
Investigators aren't releasing the 28-year-old man's name, but they say he was discovered in a house at 2378 West Taft Road shortly after 3 a.m.
He was taken to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Clinton County sheriff's investigators suspect the victim was targeted by suspects and that the suspects are no longer in the area.
The victim and roommates moved into the renal home in July 2013 and they do not appear to have any ties to the St. Johns community.
