The tears came freely Thursday afternoon as Lisa Holland, arraigned by video, saw her sister, standing by, in court. Holland's charged for allegedly assaulting her husband Tim Tuesday night and for throwing a hair dryer at him while he was in the shower sometime before Christmas.
The judge ordered Lisa to have no contact with Tim, describing the relationship as volatile.
"Anybody involved with the family is in some sort of danger it seems to me," Magistrate Rod Dropping said.
Holland pleaded not guilty. She bonded out of jail Thursday evening.
"She's innocent till proven guilty--I think she'll be proven innocent," her attorney, Andrew Abood said.
The sheriff emphasizes these charges are not related to or stemming from the investigation into Ricky Holland's disappearance in any way. Ricky went missing July 1, 2005.
That case remains open. Ingham County Sheriffs Deputies tell News 10, its "very likely" that Ricky was murdered, but they continue to investigate all possibilities.
Tim and Lisa Holland have been suspects since this summer. Chief Deputy Vicki Harrison says the case is progressing rapidly right now.
