4 People Die in Michigan Labor Day Weekend Travel

LANSING, Mich. (AP) -- Michigan State Police say travel during the long Labor Day weekend was a bit safer than in 2012.

At least four people died in three separate traffic crashes compared to eight last year. Alcohol was a factor in one crash. Others involved a bicyclist and a motorcycle rider without a helmet.

State police always urge motorists to not drink and drive, use proper restraints and drive safely at all times.
