General Motors is marking down prices on most of its 76 models in North America. The move is to help boost its sliding market share and wean buyers off expensive incentives.
The company told reporters at the Detroit auto show that the program will lower the suggested retail price by as much as 25-hundred dollars on some vehicles. The average decrease will be 13-hundred dollars.
GM will lower prices on all Chevys, Buicks and GMCs and most Pontiacs starting Wednesday.
