Lansing Police say a 34-year-old mother of six died from gunshot wounds to the head. Preliminary autopsy results show she was also pregnant with her seventh child.
Thirty-four-year-old Teresa Thomas died Sunday morning just blocks from her south side Lansing home. She was shot in the street.
Police arrived after neighbors in the area called 9-1-1 reporting screams, then shooting.
Crime scene investigators spent most of the day combing the area for clues. But Monday, police still hadn't arrested anyone and they say they don't have any suspects at this time. But Lt. Bruce Ferguson did say this was not a random incident.
Thomas graduated from Davenport University with a degree in accounting. She worked as an accountant for the Board of Water and Light in Lansing.
Family members are making funeral arrangements. And they say Thomas's six children will be taken care of by family members.
