New Year, Same Old Resolutions

If you tried to get in to your local gym Monday, you know plenty of people have gotten a good start on their New Year's Resolutions.

Getting in shape tops the list year after year. Fresh faces jam the gyms for about eight weeks then the newcomers typically stop coming in.

Debbie Kennedy, Fitness Center & Personal Training Coordinator at the YMCA on Lansing's west side, says attendance usually drops of by about 70 percent by the end of February.

Kennedy suggests using the buddy system to stay motivated, trying new workouts and keeping a positive attitude.
