Lansing's dive team searched under cold waters for over 3 hours, looking for a weapon used in the murder of Sara Mares. They had information it was thrown over the bridge. They did not find it.
They continue to look for a weapon, re-interviewing the person who sent them to the river.
Mares was found dead in her home on the 800 block of Cypress in Lansing during a fire Wednesday night. Her car was missing.
Police still haven't determined a cause of death, but they say foul play was involved. They've charged a juvenile boy, and hope to charge him as an adult in the coming week.
