Dave Hidy, owner of 'Hidy Snowplowing and Towing,' says this by far their busiest time of year.
He has a fleet of 14 trucks, gassed and ready to go... and when the snow is done falling, he can count on at least 20 jobs immediately.
His service is strictly on a per-plow basis. He says that best for customer and plower... because you're only paying for the services you need. Not a flat rate.. when it may not snow that often.
On MSU's campus, students have very little complaints about service there. The Grounds Department is responsible for plowing.. and do so after two inches fall. They also try to work at night, getting parking lots and roadways ready before classes start.
