If the IT bubble burst a few years ago, someone forgot to tell Matthew Hill.
"I founded the company when the whole dot.com bubble burst," Hill said. "There's always opportunity for growth."
Hill's company Liquid Web - which he founded when he was just 16-years-old - hosts web sites for everyone from bloggers to corporations.
"If the Internet was real estate, we would provide the land and let them build anything they want on it," he said.
Now the company is expanding.
"This will involve the creation of 600 new jobs," Hill said.
But to get your foot in the door, you'll need more than a basic knowledge of the web.
"This involves highly technical positions, computer technicians with a focus on Linux server networking," he said.
It might seem confusing, but there are programs out there that can train you to get these high tech jobs.
"Right now we have a network and security curriculum that we've revamped to attract not only students right out of high school, but the re-careering adult," Redecka Appiah-Padi said.
Appiah- Padi said the IT industry is growing at seven times the rate of other industries.
"That's where the jobs are," she said.
So the program at Lansing Community College has followed suit.
"In the last few years we've expanded our program to include several high demand career paths," Appiah-Padi said.
There's even a class on Linux, an operating program Liquid Web uses.
"They've recruited a lot of our students," she said.
