The 77-year-old Kevorkian is an inmate at the Thumb Correctional
Facility in Lapeer. Prison doctors told him that his liver is in
Kevorkian suffers from Hepatitis C, along with other ailments.
His lawyer feels he will die if doesn't get a liver transplant.
Kevorkian is serving a ten- to 25-year sentence for
second-degree murder. He's eligible for parole in 2007.
Kevorkian was convicted of giving a fatal injection to a Lou
Gehrig's disease patient in 1998.
