Police visited 519 Avon Street in Lansing yesterday to check on the welfare of the two little girls inside, thanks to a tip from a concerned family member.
The parents were not home. Police will only tell us the girls were in the care of another person. The baby girl, seven months old, was dead. Her four-year-old sister was visibly in need of medical care.
Police say they aren't searching for suspects, but are simply waiting for autopsy results to understand how this all came to be. The medical examiner wasn't able to get a conclusive answer with an autopsy Wednesday.
