LANSING - Three masked thieves break into the south Lansing Kmart and steal jewelry. Shortly after 2 o'clock Tuesday morning, police were called to the Kmart in the 5400 block of S. Cedar Street, where they discovered the glass of a front door had been broken. Police looked through the store, but found no one inside or outside. Police say a store employee came to examine the building, and discovered that several jewelery displays were missing. An examination of the surveillance video shows that three subjects, wearing ski-masks, had broken into the store and taken the jewelry. Police believe there was a car waiting for the thieves, since a canine could not find a track. Police are asking anyone who may have seen anything unusual around the Kmart overnight to call Lansing Police at 483-4600.
