WILLIAMSTON, Mich. (AP) -- Two of six brothers who served in World War II have returned to their Lansing-area hometown to be honored at a parade.
Frank and Andrew Engardio appeared Saturday in the Red Cedar Jubilee parade in Williamston.
They were in Europe at the height of the war. Their four brothers -- John, Peter, Pedro and Leonard -- also served in World War II. All six survived and returned home.
Their parents, Sam and Mary Engardio, ran a Williamston store that sold fruit, confections, beer and wine. The parents and four brothers are deceased.
Frank is a 95-year-old former Ford Motor employee who lives in California. Andrew is a 91-year-old retired podiatrist who lives in Adrian.
