SHELBY TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) -- Authorities say two people are missing in separate incidents on Lake St. Clair.
The Detroit News and The Macomb Daily of Mount Clemens report authorities searched Monday in the lake and additional searches are expected Tuesday.
The Macomb County sheriff's department says it was called Monday night to assist in a search for a 44-year-old Hazel Park man who reportedly failed to return from swimming at Stony Creek Metropark in Shelby Township, about 20 miles northeast of Detroit.
At the same time, crews also were called to search for a 33-year-old Shelby Township man who went missing about a quarter-mile from the Clinton River while trying to help a woman who fell from a boat into the water. The woman was eventually able to get out of the water.
