Eighteen-Year-Old Mayor-Elect to Face Recount

The mayor of Hillsdale isn't quite ready to surrender his seat to 18-year-old Michael Sessions.

Incumbent Doug Ingles filed today for a re-count.

The 51-year-old Ingles lost by two votes to Sessions, who began a write-in campaign the day after he registered to vote.

Sessions, a senior at Hillsdale High School, will take the oath of office at Monday's City Council meeting. The re-count isn't expected to begin until after the Thanksgiving holiday.

Ingles and Sessions were unavailable for comment. Sessions was flying to California to appear on "The Ellen Degeneres Show."
