There's been no public concession from Lansing's Mayor Tony Benavides in the three days following Tuesday's election. In fact, there's been no word at all from him since State Senator Virg Bernero grabbed 62 percent of the votes to become Lansing's next Mayor.
News Ten ran into Mayor Benavides Friday afternoon. We offered him an on-camera interview, but he declined.
Benavides' campaign website has a message posted from the Mayor. It says he conceded to his two time opponent on Wednesday and that's he's grateful and humbled for all of the efforts and support.
