A major insurance company says Pennsylvania motorists are reporting more deer-vehicle collisions than any other state in the country.
State Farm says more than 150 people are killed nationwide each year in an estimated 1.5 million deer-vehicle collisions.
Pennsylvania deer-collision claims accounted for 18-thousand of the total 179-thousand the company received nationwide from July First, 2004, through June 30, 2005.
The insurer says the second-most deer-vehicle collisions took place in Michigan, followed in order by Illinois, Ohio, Georgia, Minnesota, Virginia, Indiana, Texas and Wisconsin.
