Two people are arraigned Thursday in connection with the murder of a homeless man.
43-year-old Tammy Verdon, who is also homeless, is charged with open murder in the death of 55-year-old David Lloyd Melvin.
She faces a life in prison sentence if convicted.
Also charged, 47-year-old John Belin, who is also homeless. He was arraigned on an "accessory after the fact to a felony" charge and could get up to five years in prison if found guilty.
Both Belin and Verdon will be back in court next week.
Melvin's body was discovered outside the The Volunteers of America Monday night. Police say he died from multiple stab wounds.
