we did not get a check bevcause they sais we didn't make enough money but we could not file on our sosial security we made. Please tell me why, in La. we also have to pay double on our electricity bill because we have to pay for them to make electricity and it is called fuel adjustment bill. my bill was 169.00 plus 169.00 fuel adjustment and my bill is $390.00 i really need this check and now I can't get it.

irs said my check was mailed out at the 3rd of june and its july 11th. they said i should have got it by now. they were supposed to send me a form so they can cancel the one i did not receive and send me out a new one, but i still have not received it yet and they said it would only take one or two days and it been a week and a half. how am i suppose to know if i am a victom of identity theft? and how would i be able to get my money

My address has changed 2 times since the annoucment of the stimulus check being issued. I have recieved the notice of the amount and that i qualify for the check. But i have not recieved anything letting me know when i will recieve it. I'm just wondering if i will recieve the check at my new address. Will the IRS pay any attention to the change of address submitted to the post office. Or will my check be forwarded to my new address.

Well to let all know about the checks I have found out that if you owe taxes well our good old goverment has decided to keep those checks..My husband owed back taxes and he also got the notice that his check was to be mailed the 27th of June and well if you read the notice on the back very bottom well it might explain why you havent recived it yet..I am also wondering why the goverment whould send a notice to people who owed back taxes..So far they have kept over 2 billion dollars of this stimulus payments..kinda makes ya wonder

My husband and I received a letter stating that our check was going to be out by the 13th and it is the 28th and we still have not gotten ours. I really appreiciate what the government is trying to do but when you are counting on something and then its not there, and you cant call to get any information except automated info... It is really frustrating. I think we all really NEED this money!!!!!

yes, the schedule is nice, but it still leaves us clueless because everything is so messed up. I like Bush, but he has been so focused on the war that it seems he forgot about us here at home, I know he is doing what he thinks is right, even though everyone has seen a pattern on the economy going down hill so why now is everyone in a panic, besides not only is this biblical but we are going to get taxed at the end of the year for this stimulus check, so it isn't like we keep every dime. they get you coming and going, it really ashamed that my dad, husband, brothers, and everyone else i know, works like a dog and yet can't get past paycheck to paycheck, because of cost of living and the government taking every extra cent that is earned. there is no more down sizing that can happen, so don't think we are living at shopping malls, I'm just glad that my salvation plan is free! In regards to the person who asked if dad is behind on funds can they divert his check. YES from my understanding. It treated the same as the initial refund so anyone who is behind money owed (such as judgments like child support or alimony)can expect at least a part of their check withheld. I don't work for the IRS nor have I spoken to an accountant about it but have seen that info on other sites. HTH

What are you'll so worked up for this was money that was told to us just recently. so if your behind on bills or really tight on cash you should have budgeted better with your normal income. Check this out-Yeah just like everyone else I was supposed to get a check, I honestly think we have a bunch of "Crack Head's" working at the state capital. Get this my brother who is an ex-fellon, never filed a stitch of paperwork. Recieved a letter as to when he would recieve his stimulus check????!!!! So If that doesn't beat all, it will give you an idea of how screwed up things truely are. From the gate I felt that this has to be some type of scam. I too was supposed to get mine on May 16, my digits are 02 I'm sure glad I didn't bet the ranch, or borrow from a loan shark.

Well everyone I finally got my check last week on the 28th I guess the irs site was correct it was mailed out on the 23rd and i got it on the 28th the correct amount and everything sooooo Good Luck everyone there coming.:)

It is June 2nd and we still haven't received our check. We got the letter and it stated we would have it on May 23rd, but further done it says that our payment is being reviewed? Was this a standard letter for everyone, or was each letter different. We are entitled to the full $1800 because of our children, now we may not get it until the end of summer. What good does that do us? We need it now and would like to be able to take at least a mini vacation. Some stimilus! How can we "stimulate" the economy when they won't even get us our checks! We e-filed, did direct deposit and paid our fees upfront, but still no check because we have dependents. What sense does that make! When we owe them money, you have to pay NOW but when they owe us...we wait.

Well my last 2 numbers are 86, I was suppose to get my check direct deposit on may 16... nothing yet. My brother's last two numbers are 91 he got his the day before on the 15th. My SS# ends in 99 and I paid with Direct Deposit. Up until now I was expecting my refund to be sent on May 16, but now I see that if I had fees deducted to file my return, a check will be mailed by July 11. Now I wonder, how do you not have fees deducted to E-file? What a crock of!!

Well here located in the Mill it seems like everyone that did DD got there's on time and as for mailed checks I have not gotten anything as of yet it's say's the 16TH but another site tell's me the 23rd but when I go to the IRS site to check the status it gives me the amount and the date being sent out by the 23rd.... So i guess we shall see my last ssn is 18 everything that has to do with the rebate checks is all messed up for people who did not go with DD if you ask me.....GOOD FRIDAY EVERYONE!!

I had my taxes in the 4th of January and they processed them through the 14th. recieved my refund a week and a half after that...and now I have to wait because i filed with Turbo Tax to ensure i did not have to worry? This was too good to be true anyways. I probably wont see it. They will find an excuse not to give it to me because I had "1 too many parking tickets for a male with blue eyes who drives a hybrid" or something crazy written in the Bill.

I am wondering why no news outlet is reporting this accurately What the IRS didnt tell anyone and the Noticves recieved in the mail didnt tell anyone was that if you paid fees out of your refund for your taxes being done, you don't recieve your check till much later This would include everyone who did their taxes online and had their fees deducted from their refund (Turbotax.com for one) From the IRS website =========================================== * Filing and/or preparation fees were deducted from your refund or you received a rapid refund from your preparer. You will be receiving a check instead of a direct deposit.

I called the Federal.gov 1-800 number and they said that I would receive it today the 16th. But, the IRS website says that they can't give out the information when you'll receive your rebate because it's still being processed. Plus, we'll still get it. But, it will take a few weeks for those that haven't received theirs yet. It's no help to families that need it for bills and gas to get to work.

I am glad that people have notified you of an error I found. I will just confirm it. If you used TURBO TAX or RAPID REFUND and had your fees directly taken from your refund instead of paying them upfront you will get a paper check NOT direct deposit. I wish I would have known that before so I was not looking forward to it this week. :(

After checking the website, I realized that I'm getting a paper check rather than direct deposit, even though I had my 2007 refund deposited. If you had your fees taken out of your 2007 refund rather than paying up front, then you will get a paper check instead.

I received my refund via direct deposit back in February. But because I used Turbo Tax and had the fees deducted from my refund instead of paying them upfront, I will be getting a paper check mailed the end of June, instead of the direct deposit that was advertised for the beginning of this month. :0(

I still haven't received my stimulus money. I have done everything to find out why...if you call the IRS all you get is a recording or auotmated message that tells you to go to the website...which doesn't tell me anything at all.

I am happy as the next person to get the money but its not going to jump start anything. I dont know how they are going to fix eco. but the 600-1200 wont even get me caught up with my bills.
