DETROIT (AP) -- About 40 human rights activists marched in Detroit to protest what they call human rights abuses by the Chinese government or those supported by it.
Jeanmarie Lunsford is a spokeswoman for the Human Rights Torch Relay, which has held similar demonstrations in other cities in advance of the Summer Olympics in Beijing.
She says yesterday's protest was directed against China's government, not the Olympics.
The group accuses China of human rights abuses including a government crackdown on protesters in Tibet ... support for corrupt regimes in Darfur and Myanmar ... and persecution of Christians, lawyers and others who oppose the government.

it's the govs of many countries.all the terriost groups in many countries.they were raised to do and believe in things and changeing there minds won't happen.power over the people.so why did america get us envolved in communist gov and there ways.buy allowing american compainies to go there and leave people here without so many jobs.money taking care of money?did we think we were going to change these people?can't we think of america first?or is it a world power trip wanted by many countries?some times it's better to let god handel things.it just upsets so many when we give a helping hand to other countries then they stab us in the back.china would fight back if we got all our compainies out of there and cut off aids ect to them.so we buy made in china and get recalls.we have no choice.sure many people suffer there and have no place to go.but looks like american people have no choices either.look at our economy.dollar isn't worth much,so countries charge us more?backwards.
