MSU Trustee Joel Ferguson says he doesn't know how tow MSU football bowl game rings that belonged to him wound up on the E-Bay Internet auction site.
The rings, which were purchased by the University to commemorate the Spartans' participation in the bowls, are from the 1990 John Hancock Bowl and the 1993 Liberty Bowl. The rings are listed on the Web site with a minimum $1,400 bid for each.
Lansing-based jeweler Angelon Dimeo admits putting the rings up for auction, but he says the rings came into his possession legitimately.
Ferguson says he doesn't believe the rings were stolen. In fact, he says he could have given them away. However, Feguson's attorney is working to get the rings off the Web site.
