Good news for Lugnuts fans. It looks like the baseball team will keep pitching in Lansing. City council members approved a deal Monday night to keep the Lugnuts at Oldsmobile Park.
It's effective for the 2006 season. However, the contract means less money for city coffers because the Lugnuts will pay the city less to play.
Also, council members say there are no guarantees the owners won't sell the team, even after the ink on the deal is dry.
