Ford says sales jumped 35 and a-half percent in July thanks to its employee-discount program.
The discount gave a lift to what had been a lackluster year for the nation's No. 2 automaker.
Ford's overall sales increased just one-point-seven percent in the first seven months of the year versus a year ago.
All three Detroit-area automakers are extending the incentive for at least one more month. General Motors reversed last week's decision to end the promotion Monday.
G-M started offering employee pricing in June. It was so successful that Ford and DaimlerChrysler matched the program in July.
