Lansing's fourth Ward City Council seat is up for grabs.

Incumbent Geneva Smith, retired state legislature staffer Tim Kaltenbach, nonprofit president Shirley Carter, and city activist Brian C. Smith are running. Just two will make it past the primary.

In the at-large race, six candidates battle it out for four spots in the general election. Two seats are available.

The candidates are incumbent Brian Jeffries, construction company owner Melissa Sue Robinson, community activist John Pollard, retired state employee Leon Black, South Lansing Community Development Association director Kathie Dunbar, and DLEG director Bob Johnson.
