An on-going investigation by the Eaton County Sheriff's Department and the Tri-County Metro Narcotics Squad has led to the arrest of a Lansing man accused of dealing cocaine.
Twenty-two year-old Jose Ray Perez is being arraigned on a felony count of delivering 650 grams or more of cocaine. The commander of the narcotics squad says Perez sold an undercover officer a kilo of cocaine at a Delta Township hotel.
Authorities say it was sold for $20,000, but it's estimated street value is worth more than $100,000.
Narcotics said Perez has been part of an on-going investigation for the last month, in which his name came up as the primary source. They say they don't classify drugs as a growing problem in Eaton County.
