Perfume and lingerie are not cutting it for the woman of the house this Christmas. How about a saw? Or some hammers and screwdrivers?
A company calling itself Tomboy Tools, Inc. is marketing tools it says are designed for a woman. In many cases they are smaller and lighter.
Tomboy is hosting fix-it parties to sell tools, patterned after the Pampered Chef and Tupperware parties. At the gatherings, women are taught to fix a faucet, caulk a tub or repair dry wall.
Until Dec. 31, you can buy the tools online at www.tomboytools.com. After the first of the year consult the Web page for the nearest marketing representative in your area.
