There's no cause for the collapse yet, but there's no waiting around for an answer either. The Eyde Company will rebuild the portion of the Capital Area Michigan Works! building that mysteriously collapsed last month.
Eyde Company spokesperson Mark Clouse says all of the debris that's left will be removed in the coming week and construction will start soon after a design is nailed down. Clouse says construction should be complete by late December or early January.
Meantime, Capital Area Michigan Works! opens at full capacity Thursday morning. All of its services will be operating out of the Walter French Academy. A portion of Capital Area Michigan Works! has been there since the collapse, it's right next door to the former building and even owned by the same company.
Capital Area Michigan Works! will be housed on the first two floors in the back of the building.
