Spartan Fans Face Construction and New Tailgating Rules for First Game

Michigan State Football starts its season Saturday with fans contending with construction and new tailgating rules.

Construction has lanes shut down on Okemos Road, Hagadorn Road and also Saginaw Street, which is Interstate 69 Business Loop.

As for the new tailgating rules, lots open at 7 a.m. Saturday morning. The lots close three hours after the game ends.

Couches, upholstered furniture, trailers, pig roasters, tents larger than 10' x 10' and drinking game structures are prohibited and alcohol is prohibited on campus before tailgating starts at 7 a.m. Saturday morning.
