After two days of frantic phone calls, Janice Stadley of Williamston finally got the news Tuesday night she's been waiting for. Her brother, Rick Seal, is safe.
Seal lives in Gulfport, Mississippi. That's where Hurricane Katrina hit, killing at least 100.
Seal was able to escape Sunday night to Montgomery, Alabama.
Stadley said it's been a hard two days. She called relatives and various organizations, like The Red Cross, looking for information. All of the phone lines where the storm hit are down. She finally reached a relative who had information.
Stadley said she can't wait until she can talk to her big brother.
"I just want him to know he's loved very much."
