Prices at the pumped soared close to $3 a gallon for unleaded gasoline Tuesday afternoon. The continued shutdown of oil platforms, refineries, and pipelines along the Gulf Coast fueled the increase.
"It's outrageous, outrageous," exclaimed Karl Leger as he stood across the street from the Mobil station on Michigan Avenue.
