It's the work of the Greater Lansing Housing Coaltion, Paint a Place, Baker Donara Focus Center, Neighborhoods United in Action, the mayor's Community Government Response Team, the city's Code Compliance office and Planning and Development Dept., and others too numerous to name.
They've organized volunteers and supplies to take on the two-block Ada Street, fixing red-tagged properties and cleaning up the disrepair that's everywhere.
They picked Ada Street as the first of many projects in part because there are so many rental properties in the area. They hope this project will help restore pride and promote upkeep for the future.
