A criminal investigation focusing on longtime Eaton County lawyer Charles Zwick is underway.
The FBI is among the five agencies involved. It stems from allegations Zwick mishandled a deceased Lansing woman's money.
After failing to appear in court, he was arrested Sunday in southwest Michigan. Zwick was arraigned Monday on a contempt of court charge. He's being held in the Eaton County Jail and has been ordered to pay the deceased woman's family $347,000.
Zwick acted as power of attorney, conservator and court appointed guardian in other cases as well and now others are coming forward against him. The criminal investigation will focus on those allegations too.
