A lawsuit filed by an employee on administrative leave claiming harassment, makes for the second in more then three years the City of Lansing has had to deal with.
About a month ago Lansing says they received a lawsuit from Tina Gallante’s attorney, alleging harassing behavior by at least two city council members.
The suit claims, after she filed a police report alleging a coworker assaulted her some city officials exhibited vindictive behavior making for a hostile work environment.
The City’s attorney says the suit has few details and because of that he can’t comment other then the city’s taking it seriously and will defend itself vigorously and investigate if there was any wrongdoing.
The last harassment suit dealt with allegations of sexual harassment between a councilmember and an employee from 2002.
