The governor has ordered flags across the state to be lowered over the next two days to remember two Michigan men killed in Iraq.

Wednesday's remembrance will be in honor of Army Specialist Eric Burri. The 21-year-old Grand Rapids area native was killed last Monday in Baghdad.

Lance Corporal Andrew Kilpela will be remembered on Thursday. The 22-year-old Marine from Fowlerville was based at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. He was killed on Friday. He had been in Iraq since March.

Both men died when bombs exploded near their vehicles.
