Police received a 911 call to 337 South Hathaway around 11 a.m. The call was for a baby found not breathing in the family's wading pool.
Police say the mother, the victim, Alexander James Hart, and his three-year-old brother were napping inside the house. When the mother woke up, she could not locate baby Alexander. The three-year-old indicated the baby was outside.
As the mother searched, she found the baby not breathing in the 18-inch wading pool in the backyard.
The baby was rushed to the hospital, but was pronounced dead. Police do not believe there was any foul play, but a full investigation with autopsy will be done this week.
