New Lansing School Takes Shape

The foundation is laid and the steel beams are up. A once empty-field at the intersection of Marshall and Saginaw is slowly transforming into Lansing's new Pattengill Middle School.

The $67 million dollar project will replace the nearly-century old, current Pattengill School. The new 175,000 square foot facility will include a three-story academic center, auditorium, and gymnasium.

The project is reportedly on-track and scheduled to be complete November 2006. Students are expected to move in January 2007.
