Over 10,000 education advocates march to the state Capitol in Lansing to show their support of legislation that would encourage school funding.
Educators from all corners of the state made the drive, and Michigan Education Association officials say more then 10,000 marched from the Lansing Center to the Capitol lawn.
The march originates from years of school district budget shortfalls and subsequent teacher layoffs across the state that educators blame on years of decreasing state revenue sharing.
