An accident was reported at 5999 N. State Road, in Orleans township at 3:24 a.m.
Iona County Sheriff's Deputies observed a vehicle sitting inside of the residence/business upon arrival.
The Pontiac Grand-Am had been traveling westbound on Woods Road, at a high speed. The driver was unable to make the turn onto North State Road and lost control of his vehicle.
The car then left the road way and speed into the building. The driver fled the scene but was apprehended by deputies a short distance from the accident.
The driver suffered minor injuries, the residents were asleep in the rear part of the building and were unharmed. The vehicle entered the front portion of the building that houses their antique business.
The drivers name is being with-held until further notice.
