Documentary Maker Visits Lansing Rally

A film crew from Los Angles was mixed in among dozens attending a Lansing Loves General Motors Appreciation Rally.

Actress and producer, Annabelle Gurwitch was shooting her comedy-documentary "Fired." She says it's a humorous take on the universal felling of being fired.

Gurwitch says she was once fired by renowned actor and director Woody Allen. She claims that was the inspiration behind the project.

Gurwitch is most commonly know as a former host of T.B.S.' "Dinner and a Movie."

She says she was in Lansing to profile a Weyco worker accused of smoking then allegedly fired for doing so.

The actress/producer also says she may include the plight of workers recently laid-off from the recent General Motors Lansing Car Assembly Plant shut down.
