General Motors announced the production of its 19 millionth car in the Lansing Car Assembly Plant. G.M. officials say the plant is the only one in North America to reach such a milestone.
In celebration of the event, the plant lines were shut down for 30 minutes, and the event was broadcasted via satellite to the Lansing Body Plant.
Officials credit their workforce for the manufacturing milestone.
A GM spokesperson said they expect to build their 20 millionth within the next two years.
