You'll see four candidates on the ballot, running for Mayor in Lansing, when you go to the polls in August. The fourth and final candidate, Lynne Martinez, filed paperwork Tuesday morning. Tuesday was the final day to file for candidacy.
Martinez, current Children's Ombudsman for the state and former State Representative, joins current Mayor Tony Benavides, State Senator Virg Bernero and city employee Dale Abronowitz on the primary ticket. The two with the most votes will move on to the general election in November.
