UPDATE - "We've never had a problem anywhere on the street that we're aware of... It's very quiet," said Jamie Diamond who lives on McCue Rd in Delhi Township.
The quiet street was interrupted Wednesday morning when Ingham County Sheriff deputies served a search warrant at a house in the 5600 block. The same morning, the man who lives there was arrested on suspicion of multiple counts of criminal sexual conduct.
"An incident was reported to us back in december of 2011. We've been investigating this case for approximately six months now and this is where it led us to," said Sgt. Dennis Hull from the Ingham County Sheriff's Office.
According to Sgt. Hull, the investigation started after a victim came forward.
The 57-year-old man suspected of committing the crimes is now in custody and is expected to be arraigned Thursday morning.
"We thought we lived in a very safe neighborhood for our children," Diamond said.
Sgt. Hull will not yet release details of the crime or confirm if any victims are children.
Even so, what went down in the quiet neighborhood on Wednesday is enough to put mothers like Jamie Diamond on alert.
DELHI TWP - A Holt man is under arrest and waiting to be arraigned on multiple criminal sexual conduct charges. The Ingham County Sheriff's office, assisted by the state police Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce, executed a search warrant Wednesday at the man's home in the 5600 block of McCue Road.
