Saturday marked the second of three Michigan State University graduation days. Among the graduates is a former migrant worker now the first in her family to earn a college degree.
Anna Villanueva, her five siblings and two parents traveled from Mission, Texas to Western Michigan for 10 summers to earn extra money. They picked blueberries for $1.50/bucket. Villanueva says it was hard work but she feels it prepared her for the college.
