I-69 Reopened After Morning Accident

3PM UPDATE: Eaton County says southbound I-69 at Cochran Road is now open. The cause is still under investigation. The two truck drivers were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

UPDATE: Eaton county authorities now tell us southbound lanes will be closed until 1p.m.

EATON CO. Southbound I-69, south of Charlotte in Eaton County is closed until approximaterly 11:30am due to an accident. Two semi tractor trailers are involved in an accident. Southbound drivers are being re-rerouted off the highway at Cochran Road Exit, and back onto I-69 at Ainger Road north of Olivet. The exact nature of the accident has not been made available, but the Eaton Co. Sheriff's Office says injuries are minor.
