New Survey Shows Good Education Not Important to Michigan Parents

By  |

The latest EPIC-MRA survey shows less than one third of Michigan parents believe a good education is essential.

The findings come fresh off of Lt. Governor John Cherry's Higher Education and Economic Report and the push to double the number of college graduates in the state. The majority of Michigan parents ranked happiness as their number one goal for their children although minority parents, specifically Asian, Hispanic and African American parents, answered yes when asked if a good education is essential.

More than 1,500 parents were surveyed.
