Days Inn Shut Down For Code Violations

The doors are locked at the Days Inn on Lansing's west side.

The hotel on West Saginaw and Canal Road was shut down Friday afternoon for numerous code violations, according to the Delta Township Fire Chief.

He wouldn't elaborate on what those violations are--- and tells us it will remain closed through the weekend until city officials can get together.

People staying there have been sent to other hotels in the area. Guests who already checked in and left, and return to locked doors, should call Eaton Central Dispatch. They'll get in touch with a hotel employee and the fire chief to meet them at the hotel, where they'll retrieve the guests' belongings and get them to another hotel. That phone number is 517-484-8609.
