Hundreds of dollars were stolen from Lansing school classroom over the weekend.

Police tell us there were no signs of a break-in at Fairview Elementary, but the alarm was tripped on both Saturday and Sunday.

Lansing Superintendent Yvonne Caamul Canul tells News 10 somewhere between $1,600 and $2,300 was taken--- money fifth-graders were collecting to go to the district's camp near Hastings this summer.

The incident is under investigation-- and the district will make sure the money is restituted.

We'll be sure to follow this story and let you know when new information develops.
